When I saw the trailer of this movie, I was intrigued. This
situation is very realistic and even if we deny or ignore it, we all know that
this is really happening. I was just wondering how artfully they can execute it
in the movie.
The opening scene is epic. Why? Because it depicts every
minute brouhaha and illusions when seeing an old flame. This includes tension,
pain, excitement, lust, anger and addiction. It is a whirlwind shift of
emotions. I like how hot Coleen and Derek are in this movie. I’m sure this scene hits a bulls-eye
to a lot of people. When the movie is relatable, it sells.
This reminds me of Grey’s anatomy though given the medicine
drama setup and the analysis of emotions. Both Adam and Arki cried a lot here.
However, it failed to make me cry with them. Probably because it didn’t hit me
that hard or I can’t relate to it. I wasn’t able to feel their pain. My view of
a relationship is so black and white that when it is done, it is DONE.
Then there is this concept of doing everything for the one
you love though.
Memorable lines (can’t recall the exact lines &
hopefully I’m able to deliver the message):
-
- You have to feel the pain to know that you are alive.
- You are so worth it.
- Moving on…
